Ecuador Vilcabamba in QUECHUA, HUILCOPAMBA which means  "Sacred Valley" is located 40 km from the city of Loja, at 1,700 meters above sea level. Also, know as the " Island of Longevity".  It is not uncommon to find a centenarian elder performing agricultural tasks like any farmer of 40 or 50 years. They attribute the good health of the long-lived to the water of the rivers that surround it, capable of eliminating cholesterol and curing rheumatism and of course, also to the specialty coffee production in this place.
